WHAT IS ART TO ME?
Artist Statement
Art to me is an opportunity to let my imagination run. It starts off with a theme or idea, a goal or an inspiration, that then takes form on paper. Art is the physical manifestation of my passions, my life story, and my present state of mind. Through art, I introduce my audience to my view of the world.
Art, in all its different forms and mediums, fascinates me and challenges me. It drives me to experience and experiment with new techniques, materials, and color pallets. And even when I don’t know how to go about making something, my imagination supplements what I lacked in experience. In my art practice, I like to experiment with new mediums such as digital graphics, acrylic on canvas, and charcoal, and am constantly in search for my own artistic style. In every opportunity, I hope to use my art to learn more about myself.
